If the question marks a spot and asks whether to add a sentence there, test that exact location. A true sentence in the wrong place is still no. Add, keep, or delete as a set is in add and delete questions.
True, relevant, and here
The sentence has to be on-topic for the paragraph, in relevance questions. It also has to fit the sentences on either side of the caret. Splitting an existing sentence is a different stem, in splitting a sentence.
Phrase placement inside one sentence is narrower still, in phrase placement.
The bottom line
Right sentence, right spot. Either miss is a no.
