The sixty-second skip on ACT Math

If a Math item is still a wall after about a minute, flag it and move. The next five easier points are worth more than one stuck item. Math is 45 questions in 50 minutes. Two-pass order is in the two-pass method.

A minute is a budget, not a dare

You can return. The first half of the section is usually faster, in the first-half sprint. On the digital test, flagging is a tap, in flagging questions.

Guessing whatever is still blank is in guessing on the ACT.

The bottom line

One minute of no progress: flag, skip, come back if time is left.
