Practice Desmos the way the ACT locks it

October 4, 2026 · 5 min read

Practice in a blank graphing window. Do not rehearse on a personal Desmos account full of notes, folders, and saved graphs. The test build will not have those. What it disables is in disabled Desmos features.

Match the keypad you will get

Open a fresh graph. Use the keypad for exponents, fractions, and trig. Set degrees or radians from the wrench every time, because a home default will not carry into the test. That switch is in radians versus degrees. Whether you may use Desmos on test day is in Desmos on the ACT.

If you might test on paper

Paper Math does not include Desmos. If you are still choosing a format, do not let a graphing habit become the only way you can solve. Format choice is in digital or paper ACT, and practicing on paper for a digital test date is a separate question in practicing on paper for a digital test.

The bottom line

Blank window, testing keypad, no saved notes. If a trick only works because of a folder you built at home, it will not be there.

Start practicing

Start with a free diagnostic, then drill your weak spots with 15-question quizzes and track how you're doing across Reading, English, and Math. Compare plans whenever you're ready to go further.
