Sentence-order questions on ACT English

Sentence-order items ask where a sentence belongs. Follow pronouns, time words, and “this” back to what they need. This is narrower than macro logic as a whole, in macro logic.

Find the glue

If the sentence says this result, it has to follow the result. If it says later that year, it has to follow the earlier date. Intro and conclusion slots are a special case, in intro and conclusion sentences.

The bottom line

Place the sentence after the information it depends on, before the information that depends on it.
