A 22 Composite is the rounded average of English, Math, and Reading—just above a 20 and short of a 24. You get there by finishing every core section and lifting anything still in the mid-teens. Science is optional and does not enter the Composite.
The Composite math
24 + 22 + 20 averages 22. 26 + 22 + 18 also averages 22. A 14 in any core section usually blocks a clean 22. Fix the floor first.
What to practice
Official timed sections, guess every blank, and cut repeating grammar and one-step algebra. The same loop: how to raise your ACT score.
The bottom line
Treat 22 as three finished sections with no teen leftover. Then decide whether the list actually needs a 24 or 25.
Start practicing
Start with a free diagnostic, then drill your weak spots with 15-question quizzes and track how you're doing across Reading, English, and Math. Compare plans whenever you're ready to go further.
