Thanksgiving-break ACT study plan

October 3, 2026 · 5 min read

Thanksgiving week is four or five real study days, not a second winter break. Use it for one timed core, two weak-section sessions, and a day off for the meal. December sits right after.

A simple map

  • Wednesday: timed official English or Math—the weaker one.
  • Friday: full core if you are sitting December; otherwise one section.
  • Saturday or Sunday: error log only.
  • Thursday: off.

December date: should you take the December ACT.

What not to do

Do not start a new book on Wednesday night. Do not take two full tests and show up exhausted in December.

The bottom line

Thanksgiving is a checkpoint. Keep the December (or February) date honest, then close the laptop for dinner.

Start practicing

Start with a free diagnostic, then drill your weak spots with 15-question quizzes and track how you're doing across Reading, English, and Math. Compare plans whenever you're ready to go further.
