How to get a 35 on the ACT

October 4, 2026 · 5 min read

A 35 Composite sits between a 34 and a 36. You can miss almost nothing on English, Math, and Reading. The work is review, not a new syllabus. Science is optional and does not enter the Composite.

The Composite math

36 + 35 + 34 averages 35. A 31 in any core section usually blocks it. Protect the 36 while you chase one type: protect a strong section.

What to practice

Official sections only, full review of every miss and every lucky guess. Stop careless mistakes. When to stop: when to stop retaking.

The bottom line

A 35 is near-perfect cores. Sit again only if a named campus still needs the last point.

Start practicing

Start with a free diagnostic, then drill your weak spots with 15-question quizzes and track how you're doing across Reading, English, and Math. Compare plans whenever you're ready to go further.
