What if you enter the wrong high school code?

October 4, 2026 · 5 min read

A wrong high school code can send the score report to the wrong counselor inbox. Fix it in MyACT as soon as you see it. The Composite does not change.

How to fix it

Update the school in MyACT, then ask ACT to correct a report that already posted if the counselor never received it. How to contact ACT.

If a college send used the wrong school

The college still gets the score. The high school copy is what broke. Sending: send scores to colleges.

The bottom line

Match the code to the school on your transcript. Fix it before scores post if you can.
